Truth Love and Free Food Tour 2010 will (probably mostly likely) be making a stop in Cleveland Ohio!!! I’ll be in town for one week only sometime in early July(ish) I would really love to see everyone but it will for sure take some coordinated hang outs. At that point I’ll have seen 7 months on the road and I won’t be back in the 216 until next spring. Hope to see some smiling...

Grandma Judy in the forest!!!!
My grandma Judy is coming to the forest today to visit me in Brunswick, Georgia all the way from Cleveland. She’s not spending the night because she doesn’t want to fall out of a tree house or pee in the woods. So we’re just gonna hang out in the forest and maybe go to driftwood beach and lunch.
Otherwise life in the forest is still wonderful. Hot days and cold nights. Good...
three more weeks in the forest!!
So I’m staying at the Hostel in the Forest for another 3 weeks, until the end of April. Holdin down the Soul Kitchen until the next kitchen manager gets here. Then taking over as full time Chicken Shaman/mama. 14 eggs waitin to hatch in a few days, pictures to follow! I’m so lucky to be able to stay here longer. At the end of April it’ll be time to hop in the RV and head on up...

rebirth
Did my first sweat lodge last night. It was really intense, a lot of self-reflection, intention, forgiveness, and rebirth. Followed by shaving my head. I feel completely new, sweat out all the toxins and anger and attachment. Shaved off the rest of the last chapter of my life. Rebirth, new adventures, turning the page.
gathering hippies is kind of like herding cats.
summer 2010
whooooo! So this summer’s travel plans involve shoving as many hippies as possible into an RV and touring the east coast talking to small communities(intentional and otherwise) about the amount of food wasted in this country. We’re making a lot of stops that I may post at some point, but here’s some of the ones I’m excited about
1. Southeast Burning Man Pre-Heat
2. Earth...
early in the morning
I get up at seven every morning to take care of the chickens. I love being the first one awake, before the day starts moving. I can walk around the forest, everyone still asleep in their treehouses. I get my pick of the freshest chicken eggs for breakfast, brew the first pot of coffee and relax on the front porch in a solitude I know only in the small hours of the day. As my family and friends...
chicken town
up early, or rather awake late. Incredible day. Amazing all night conversation in the soul kitchen. I’m removing the following words from my vocabulary—-should, try, have to.
The sun rises in 15 minutes, at which point I will let the chickens out of their coop, feed and hang out with them and then sleep.
dream of destiny.

It’s fucking amazing here!!!! We got stuck for about a week in Jacksonville, Florida and that was not so fucking amazing. Impossible to hitchhike out of. We spent two days at a truckstop, also not fun. But we’re finally here!! Playing music in the French Quarter everyday(Bourbon street is not that cool, kind of ridiculous) This place is like coffee shop paradise. We’ve got a new...

We're still in Homestead!!!!
We’re still hanging out in the bottom of Florida, the tip of the penis that is Florida if you will. Doing work exchange at a really fucking cool Hostel. Tonight involves a midnight walk through the Everglades Cypress Dome, watch out for them gators. Finally heading north in about a week and a half. Met someone staying at the Hostel who’s going to the gathering in Ocala and offered us a...
The world’s got me dizzy again, you’d think after 22 years I’d be used to the spin, but it only gets worse when I stay in one place. That’s why I’m always pacin around or walking away.

the end of 2009
so we spent the last few days working/staying at an organic fruit farm south of Homestead, Florida. Some really fucking rad people named Mike and Ashley are running this little 10 acre slice of heaven.
Tonight we bring in the new year with new friends and family at the Everglades Hostel which is how I have internet access! Took a quick break from food and music around campfires to use the...

Homestead, Florida
so we spent a few days in Miami, on South Beach of all places…. very very interesting. We stayed at the South Beach Hostel and hung out with a bunch of partying young europeans(we were in a room with 6 irish kids, they went to bed at the same time that we were waking up) otherwise we just swam and climbed trees and enjoyed the legality of being topless on South Beach.
Then we headed about...
FLORIDA
holy shit
beauty, beauty. incredible.
I can’t even begin to describe.
We’re in Fort Myers, we flew here a week ago today. Sleepin out on the beach, swimming, sleeping, fresh fruit every day. Incredible people and community here. Two other groups of traveling kids got into town two nights ago. We’re all staying in the same house and we’re a happy glowing little family....
cold cold cold colder
curled up in front of the space heater, reading Bukowski and listening to Tchaikovsky.
may we always fail with the best of intentions, with our hears always pure and our souls only human.
I get my kicks in the 216.
cold cold cold
the plexi-glass covering my window has taken beating today from the crazy fucking cleveland wind. I’m not sure if its going to last the night…go duct tape go! If it doesn’t hold I will probably wake up fairly unhappy and covered in a light dusting of snow. The thermometer says 48 degrees…inside.
bitch bitch, we’re all Cleveland Polar Bears

Rocked out on Ukulele at my last open mic, and had two good friends play Long...
